Walking to the school bus stop
Young people laugh when an older person talks about walking to school. Uphill both ways, in order to get to school. I lived in Northmoore MO. In Jr and Sr. High and truly. I did have to walk up one side of the hill and down the other side to catch the bus. When we moved to the other side of the interstate, there were two hills between the house and the bus stop. No matter what the weather was like, I had no choice but to walk. No one drove me to the bus stop, or let me sit in a car to wait on the bus. I can't say that I loved it.
