Mexican Casserole

MEXICAN CASSEROLE Ingredients: 1 pound lean ground beef 1 can Ranch Style beans 1 10-12 ounce bag tortilla chips, crushed (I didn't use the whole bag) 1 can Ro-tel tomatoes 1 small onion, chopped 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided 1 package taco seasoning 1 can cream of chicken soup 1/2 cup water sour cream and salsa for serving Directions: Preheat   oven to 325 degrees. In a large skillet, brown meat and drain off fat.   Stir in beans, tomatoes, onion, taco seasoning, soup and water. Simmer   over medium-low heat until everything is well combined and heated   through. Grease a 9×13 casserole dish. Put down a layer of crushed   tortilla chips, followed by a layer of the meat/bean mixture, then half   of the cheddar cheese. Repeat layers. 1   box of penne pasta, jar of Alfredo, jar of spaghetti sauce, 2 cups   shredded mozzarella and whatever spices you want (I used a little garlic   & onion powder, Italian seasoning and some sugar). Boil pasta,   while that's cooking add Alfredo & spaghetti sauce in another pot,   add 2 cups of mozzarella & seasonings. I Remember when Mom would bake a month's worth of Sugar Cookies, and they would be gone in less than a week she cooled them on the chest freezer in rows, and us  kids would scoop up a handful as we walked past. Well, this recipe does not make near that many, but they are just as tasty and soft. Here is a good cutout cookie recipe. Ingredients 1 3/4 c flour 1/4 tsp salt 1/2 tsp baking powder 1egg 1/2 c shortening, butter flavor 3/4 c sugar 2 tsp vanilla extract Mix all ingredients into bowl. Mix well, shape into ball. Chill 30 minutes or longer. Roll out 1/8th  thick. Cut shapes,  Place on ungreased cookie sheet. bake for 7 - 10 minutes  at 350 degrees. Cream Cheese Sugar Cookies 1 cup sugar 1 cup margarine or butter, softened 3 oz. package of cream cheese 1/4 tsp Salt 1/2 tsp Almond extract 1/2 tsp vanilla extract 1 egg yolk (reserve white) 2 cups all purpose flour Blend together sugar, margarine, cream cheese, salt, almond extract, vanilla, and egg yolk with mixer.  Mix in flour until well blended. Roll into a ball and wrap in plastic wrap. Refrigerate for two hours. Heat oven to 375 degrees.  Roll out dough, one third at a time, on a lightly floured surface.  Using a cookie cutter dipped in flour, cut out cookies as close together as possible. Place the cookies one inch apart on ungreased cookie sheets.  To prevent breaking, move cookies to and from baking sheets with a wide spatula or pancake turner. Leave cookies plain or, if desired, brush with slightly beaten egg white and spring with colored sugar. Poor man cake  1/2 C Lard  2 C Sugar  2 1/2 C Flour  1/2 c Cocoa  1 tsp Baking Soda  1 tsp Vanilla  1 C Hot Water  1 Tbls Vinegar  Cream Sugar and lard. Sift together flour, Cocoa and Baking Soda combine vinegar, water and vanilla.  Add each in parts to the creamed sugar mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 45 minutes.  From my childhood. 1-2-3 Cake You need two boxes of cake mix. One can be any flavor you prefer, but the other MUST be Angel Food cake mix. Mix them together (shake them in a big bowl). Then simply store the mixture in an airtight container until you get the urge for dessert. Then just put three Tbsp. of the dry mixture in a big coffee mug and stir in 2 Tbsp of water. Microwave it for one minute and you will have a single serving of cake! Top with fruit, ice cream, whipped cream or whatever! Delightful No-Bake Chocolate Oat Bars Ingredients:     1 cup Butter     3 cups Rolled Oats     1 cup Semisweet or Dark Chocolate Chips     1/2 cup Peanut Butter     1/2 cup Packed Brown Sugar     1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract Instructions:     Line an 8-inch or 9-inch square baking dish with parchment paper, making sure to leave an overhang for easy removal of the bars.     In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.     Stir in the brown sugar until well dissolved into the butter.     Remove the saucepan from the heat and mix in the vanilla extract.     Gradually stir in the rolled oats until they are completely coated with the butter mixture.     Press half of the oat mixture into the bottom of your prepared baking dish.     Sprinkle the chocolate chips over the layer of oats.     Drop spoonfuls of peanut butter over the chocolate chips.     Crumble the remaining oat mixture over the peanut butter layer and press down gently.     Place the baking dish in the refrigerator for

BUTTERY PECAN SNOWBALL COOKIES Ingredients 1 cup butter softened 1/2 cup powdered sugar 1/4 teaspoon salt 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract 2 1/4 cups flour 1 cup finely chopped pecans 1 cup powdered sugar for dusting How To Make Buttery Pecan Snowball Cookies Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 350 degrees. Step 2: Cream the butter and powdered sugar in a stand mixer. Adjust the mixer speed to low, then add in the salt, vanilla, flour, and pecans. Step 3: Into an inch ball, roll the batter and place the balls a few inches apart from each other on parchment-covered baking sheets.
