- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cups beef broth
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- Fresh parsley for garnish
_____Directions:_____
1. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, chopped onion, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix well and form into oval-shaped patties.
2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the patties and cook until browned on both sides. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
3. In the same skillet, add a bit more oil if needed. Stir in flour and cook for a minute to make a roux.
4. Gradually whisk in beef broth, making sure there are no lumps. Bring to a simmer and let it thicken.
5. Return the patties to the skillet, covering them with the onion gravy. Simmer for an additional 10-15 minutes until the steaks are cooked through.
6. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
