▢ 1 medium Onion, grated ๐ง
▢ 6 cloves Garlic, crushed or garlic powder, to taste ๐ง
▢ Olive Oil, to taste (1 drizzle) ๐ซ
▢ Tomato Paste, to taste (1 drizzle) ๐
▢ Ketchup, to taste (1 drizzle) ๐
▢ Vinegar, to taste (1 drizzle) ๐
▢ Worcestershire Sauce, to taste (1 drizzle) ๐
▢ Cumin, to taste
▢ Curry Powder, to taste
▢ Tabasco Sauce or Black Pepper, optional, to taste ๐ถ️
▢ Annatto or Achiote, optional, to taste ๐ถ️
▢ Salt, to taste ๐ง
๐จ๐ณ Instructions:
1️⃣ Preheat the oven to 250ยบC (480ยบF).
2️⃣ In a bowl, place the chicken drumsticks and add all the ingredients according to your taste. Mix well to ensure that the drumsticks are well seasoned. You can marinate them in the bowl for 1 hour or 30 minutes, but it's not mandatory; you can proceed directly to baking.
3️⃣ In an oven-safe baking dish, arrange the drumsticks and pour the sauce over them. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and place it in the preheated oven for 1 hour at 250ยบC (480ยบF).
4️⃣ After 50 minutes of cooking, remove the aluminum foil to allow the drumsticks to brown and the sauce to reduce. Leave them uncovered for the remaining 10 minutes.
5️⃣ Once the hour is up, remove the drumsticks from the oven. They are now ready to be served. Pair them with white rice, French fries, and salad, or mashed potatoes and boiled potatoes—use your imagination and preferences.
