Cinnamon Bread
Ingredients:
1 cup white sugar
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup white sugar
1 egg
1 cup milk
1/3 cup vegetable oil
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
In a small bowl, combine 1 cup of sugar and 2 teaspoons of cinnamon. Set this cinnamon-sugar mixture aside.
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
In another bowl, beat together 1 cup of sugar, egg, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract.
Mix the wet ingredients into the flour mixture until just moistened.
Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Sprinkle with 3/4 of the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
Add the rest of the batter and top with the remaining cinnamon-sugar mixture.
Swirl the cinnamon-sugar mixture through the batter using a knife.
Bake for about 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let it cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then remove the bread from the pan and let it cool completely on a wire rack.
