Ingredients:
π¦ 450g lump crab meat, picked over for shells
π₯ 1 large egg, lightly beaten
π₯ 60g mayonnaise
πΏ 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
π 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
πΆ️ 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning (adjust to taste)
π 60g breadcrumbs (plus extra for coating)
π§
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
π§ 2 cloves garlic, minced
π§ 30g butter
π Lemon wedges, for serving
π± Chopped fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the lump crab meat, beaten egg, mayonnaise, chopped parsley, Dijon mustard, Old Bay seasoning, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, and minced garlic. Mix gently until well combined.
Shape the crab mixture into 8 equal-sized patties. If the mixture is too wet to handle, add more breadcrumbs as needed.
Heat the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Once the butter has melted and the skillet is hot, carefully place the crab cakes in the skillet. Cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and heated through.
Remove the crab cakes from the skillet and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb any excess grease.
Serve the crab cakes hot with lemon wedges on the side for squeezing and garnish with chopped fresh parsley.
