Here are two different things you cab add to beans to reduce or eliminate Almost all those bean toots.

I never knew why my Mom always added a spoonful of sugar to her large pot of beans. I mean, we never tasted it. Never noticed a change in the flavor If it  had been forgotten..she did it because that's how she was taught to fix beans. But I read an article, had to have been in the 1990s, that said Sugar killed the enzymes that causes the toots.
Adding a teaspoon of baking powder, while the beans are cooking will also work.
