Congo Bars



Congo Bars. 

2 3/4 cup Flour. 
1/2 teaspoon Salt. 
2 1/4 Cup Brown Sugar. 
1 cup Nut Meats. 
2 1/2 teaspoons Baking Powder. 
2/3 cup Shortening. 
3 eggs. 
1 6oz pkg. Chocolate Chips. 

Melt Shortening, add brown sugar, eggs and beat well . Add sifted dry ingredients, nuts, and chocolate chips.  Bake in a 10 1/2 x 15 1/2 pan.  Bake at 350F for 25 minutes.
